Practice Fairway Etiquette

Members are reminded that guests may not utilse our practice fairway (unless we are open for play and they are paying a green fee).  Family members are allowed, within reason, and not be a member of a club.  e.g. learning to play

Dress Code Reminder

Despite the course being closed, these expectations are still relevant at our Club, as well as for those attending other clubs via Club Share agreements.

Golf Shop Building Works

Works on the Golf Shop are beginning to give a glimpse towards what the final product will look like.  Internal fixtures have started to arrive, carpet has been laid and painting has begun.   This will all culminate in the shop reopening in mid-late November.

A summary of works completed since the last update is below:

Internal Work

This week saw some painting commence in the Golf Shop, as well as fresh carpet and the delivery of the new shop's joinery.

Timber Beams

Following a large amount of intricate prep work, the timber beam installation has begun on the Golf Shop.  Once stained, these will mimic the timber beams that accent the Clubhouse.

Plenty of preparation and work involved in the installation of these beams

Car Park Side of the Golf Shop

The enclosure underneath the Golf Shop continues to take shap.  Further fence and brush screening has been removed, and framing and timber slats continue to be installed among all the other work taking place.

This also received a much needed paint, which also included the brickwork.

Gates

Painting of the main Golf Shop building continued, while there was further work done on the steel work around the Clubhouse as well as entry and exit gates.  Work will continue into next week and is nearing completion.

Should any members have any questions about the candidates they should contact the General Manager.

Cranbourne Golf Club Induction/Information Evenings

Two of three scheduled information evenings for incoming members from Cranbourne Golf Club were held earlier this week at Huntingdale Golf Club.  Evenings consisted of a presentation covering the HGC/CCC agreement, what it means to be a member of Huntingdale, Huntingdale's history, Club etiquette reminders and some general membership information.  This was followed by an address from the Captain, Greg Smith, as well as some drinks and snacks.  Pleasingly each evening was true example of Huntingdale cameraderie and hospitality.

The final Cranbourne Golf Club Induction/Information Evening is scheduled for Wednesday 12 November, and will effectively signal the completion of the membership process.
