Vegetation Report

The team from Environmental Golf Solutions (EGS) has complied a comrehensive report of the Club's re-vegetation program.

Huntingdale's Vegetation Manager, Jeremy Holland in conjunction with Kate from EGS and OCM will partner to re-introduce heathland vegetation on the course.

Not only does this plan create a landscape that plays naturally and enhances biodiversity, it also creates a timeless visual quality that evolves and changes with the seasons.

Poa Dabbing Day

A group of eleven members took time out of their day to assist with a poa dabbing working bee this past Thursday (23 October).  By dabbing the poa, treatment is isolated, and therefore has increased efficacy.  In addition, the alternate treatment of bulk spraying is very tough on the young turf.

Thank you to all those who donated their valuable time to improve the conditon of the course.

Be on the lookout for another day scheduled in the near future and your chance to get on the course and be a part of the reopening.

Grow In Update

This week has had some welcome rain, some warmer days, though nights have remained cool.  The result of all this is a rise of approximately 3*C in ground temperature in the past three weeks which is now sitting at 14.8*C (Friday 24/10).

We continue to hope for warmer days and nights, which coupled with the skills of our course staff will promote strong turf growing conditions.  Members are likely to be watching the weather as keenly as our staff.
